January
Our team completed a full switchgear replacement for the Kalamazoo Water Reclamation Plant. Originally planned to take 27 days, the team finished the work in only 15 days. They coordinated with the plant to schedule shutdowns, reducing the impact of the project on operations.
February
In February, FZ's Board saw the addition of two new members: Mary Bunzel and Hiren Thakar!

We provided Design Build services and electrical for the core shell of the FCIP South Park building, a 270,000 square foot warehouse.
March
We began partnering with Novant Health, a leading healthcare provider in North Carolina. We provided several locations with various services, including maintenance and infrared scanning at the Novant Presbyterian Medical Center.

Employees across the U.S. celebrated FZ's 42nd birthday with some sweet treats!

We received ABC National's STEP Platinum Award! We're proud to provide our employees with a safe and energizing work environment.
June
Nate Koetje, FZ CEO, spoke at Grand Rapids Chamber's CEO Summit, focusing on the topic of making West Michigan a welcoming place for new Americans.
July
Our crew continued progress on One 22 One, a 24-story office building in Nashville. We completed the electrical, fire alarm, and BIM modeling for the project.
August
FZ hosted National Night Out at our headquarters in Grand Rapids. We loved hanging out with our community members!

We excel at making the complex simple! In Charleston, our team was onsite at the James Island Connector Bridge to add new navigational lights to the coast guard fenders.
September
We took in some big wins at ABC West Michigan's Excellence in Construction Awards! FZer Jeff Hoeks was named the Craft Professional of the Year. Meanwhile, FZ took home the award for the Low Voltage category.

FZ was named a Best and Brightest Company to Work for in the Nation!
November
Our crew finished up work at the Four Seasons Hotel in Nashville in time for the hotel's grand opening. FZ provided Design Assist and electrical services for the 41-story high rise.
