Feyen Zylstra provided all of the audio video capabilities for the Hope College locker room and nutrition area at the Griff’s IceHouse West, located in Holland, MI. The project included installing a Crestron control processor, five TV monitors, and nine speakers. The system allows players and coaches to wirelessly cast video, audio, or watch traditional cable TV. The first source, an Apple TV, lets the operator use an iPad, iPhone, or MacBook to AirPlay audio and video. A DirecTV satellite box works as the second input source allowing users access to TV channels. Thirdly, a Kramer VIA GO system lets users wirelessly cast video and audio from Android, iOS, PC, and Chromebook devices. A custom user interface was designed for each room’s iPad and allows users to turn the system on and off, change input sources, and control volume levels. All of these systems help improve team collaboration by allowing players and coaches to easily share and stream media!
