Project Race, a high-end, industrial process installation project located in Cartersville, GA, involved the construction of a new plant facility. The short schedule of the project timeline called for intense work and intricate schedule coordination.

FZ was uniquely equipped to tackle the demanding turnaround because of a joint effort between our Grand Rapids branch, which supplied engineering and project estimation, and our Southeast branch, which managed the project. Manpower was split between the two locations, putting experienced, highly-skilled electricians at all critical points. The innovative prefabrication team created a cable-bundling system for the project, where all cables were pulled and packaged in FZ’s offsite electrical prefabrication facility in Grand Rapids, MI, for later installation on site.

In all, over 4,100 cables were pulled in a ten-week period, the equivalent of 65 miles of cable in total, and over 27,000 control points were terminated within the 16-week project window.
