Van Andel Arena
When the Van Andel Arena required technical service work within a tight schedule, FZ was up to the challenge.
In order to keep their lighting up to code, Van Andel needed their stadium’s ice lit to a very specific brightness. To achieve this, our team removed the existing lights, wired up new LED lights, and connected them to a controller. Our team leveraged our engineering and installation experience to number every light and ensure that each shone on a specific spot on the ice. Accuracy was of the utmost importance. FZ applied this same process to upgrading the specialty colored stadium lights as well.
Our team also completed a lighting control upgrade for the rest of the facility, which included the locker rooms, lobby, and atrium. We removed and replaced previous control panels and infrastructure wiring, ran new conduit wiring, and tied it back into the main system.
Throughout the projects, we minimized disruptions by working around the arena’s schedule and vendors. Our team finished on budget and on schedule, wrapping up the projects before hockey season began.
