Walker joined nationwide event for 'America's National Night Out Against Crime'
Walker, MICH., August 6th, 2019 - Feyen Zylstra and Living Hope Community Church teamed up with the Walker City Police Department to host National Night Out for the 12th time here in the City of Walker. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods a safer, better place to live. This year’s event was a collaborative community initiative involving numerous local businesses and churches who came together to celebrate the community of Walker.
The City of Walker’s National Night Out was held at Feyen Zylstra’s corporate headquarters and served over 1,000 Walker City residents! Walker mayor, Gary Carey, was in attendance along with the local police and fire departments. The event included prize giveaways, face painting, bounce houses, games, balloon twisting, crafts, music, hot dogs, snow cones, and more!
